Safran a favorite of engineering professionals
According to consulting firm Universum, Safran is now considered the fifth most attractive engineering/technology employer in France by engineers with at least one year of professional experience.
Universum is a Swedish consulting firm, specialized in employer branding. It has just published its 2017 ranking of the most attractive employers in France, based on a survey of graduates of business and engineering schools with at least one year of professional experience.
More than 12,400 engineers and management staff were questioned in this survey. Safran garnered 9.7% of the votes, two points higher than in 2016, ranking it the 5th most attractive employer in the Engineering/Technology sector.
The Universum survey is designed to measure and compare the attractiveness of companies among professionals, to better understand their expectations of employers, and also to identify their main selection criteria. This latest survey clearly spotlights the attractiveness of the aerospace sector for young engineers.
One of the reasons for Safran’s success with young engineers is the Group’s good financial health, which enables it to apply a proactive recruiting policy that targets top talent. Safran added 7,000 new employees in 2016, including 2,000 in France.
Universum had already published an initial ranking in April 2017, based on a survey of students: Safran was ranked the 4th most attractive employer by students who had just earned their engineering degree.
