Since May, 20 people at Safran Engineering Services and Safran Electronics & Defense in Eragny have been developing mission planning software for the army and its transport vehicles. Safran Engineering Services is looking for new talent to strengthen its team. What if you were part of it?
Alban Margot is in charge of the platform working on military mission planning software for Safran Electronics & Defense. He divides his time between the client's site, the Safran Engineering Services office in Eragny, and one of Safran's main sites in the Paris region, Saclay. He leads a team of 20 people who are based mainly in Eragny. This team is expected to grow to 32 employees in October. And they have some exciting challenges ahead of them.
"We are looking for C++, Java and JavaScript software developers as well as OS security experts to strengthen the team," explained Alban. Their assignment? "Firstly, they will develop mapping software (mapping data support, advanced mapping services, etc.); mission planning software for various helicopters; and mission planning and management software for the Patroller drone (handling, monitoring, image capturing, etc.). This software will establish flight plans; more specifically, it will configure the movements of aerial vehicles and what the target of their surveillance should be... Secondly, they will also work on management software for the transfer of data between sensors and stations (planning station or tablet). Their goal is to visualize the terrain, identify movements and generate mission reconnaissance images for infantrymen."
When asked what attracted members of his team to this type of assignment, Alban explained: "We are working on complex software that is technically and technologically very interesting. We have some real high-tech challenges ahead of us. We hope to meet them with the help of new, experienced profiles, but also young talent whose skills we will build. Joining the Safran group also offers great opportunities for job progression and mobility,” he concluded.
