Safran engages with local communities in North America
Every month, learn about civic actions taken by the Group around the world! This month, we look at the USA and Canada, where employees got involved in helping local communities in need. Dive into the heart of two inspiring initiatives.
Cooking for a worthwhile cause!
Since 2008, around thirty volunteers from the Safran Landing Systems site in Toronto meet every year at the Blythwood Road Baptist church to cook and serve hot meals in partnership with the association Out of the Cold.
This year, the Safran employees along with friends and family helped to prepare over 160 hot meals, along with generous donations of clothes and personal hygiene products, to offer some comfort and support to people in need in Canada.
Shopping bags with meaning
In the US, Safran Electrical & Power staff made donations to the drive organized by the WomenUnited association to support single mothers on low incomes in Denton County, Texas. The donations collected helped the women and their families to face the spring break in a more comfortable situation.
Foodstuffs, clothing, toiletries, but also vouchers for activities were generously donated.
This solidarity and sharing are shining examples of Group engagement with local communities!
Affirming our commitment to civic society is one of the four pillars of the Group CSR strategy, “Engage for the future.”
