Safran Electrical & Power has produced 4 million switches!

“When we started the manufacturing activity in Chihuahua, I never thought about the speed on how the team would be adjusted to the new business environment. Since everyone came from a wiring manufacturing background, it was going to be a challenge. With a lot of teamwork and great support from our team in Sarasota, we started to learn the new processes with a very high sense of commitment and overcame that situation very quickly. And here we are now, building the 4^th million piece with high competitiveness and good performance overall,” said Carlos Arvizu, Program Manager.

With over 3,500 employees, the multiple Safran Electrical & Power plants at Chihuahua also create electrical panel assemblies, harnesses, fiber optics and electrical cabinets. Additionally, Chihuahua is home to the world’s largest aircraft wiring facility, providing 95% of electrical wiring for the Boeing 787 Dreamliner.
