Safran Customer Day China Southern session was held with success
Safran Customer Day China Southern session was held in Guangzhou on July 28th with nearly 100 participants from both China Southern Airlines and 10 Safran companies and joint ventures in China.
At the beginning of the event, Rongxin WU, Assistant General Manager of China Southern Group, Deputy General Manager of China Southern Airlines and General Manager of China Southern Technic, expressed his sincere welcome to Safran team and congratulated on the solid and long-term partnership established between the two companies.
He said: “In recent years, China Southern Airlines has maintained a good momentum of development and has become a large-scale air transport enterprise in the world. Safran, as one of our important partners, has provided us numerous products and equipment, and played an important role in promoting the development of China Southern Airlines. We wish to enhance our cooperation and exchanges with Safran in future in the following three aspects: digital applications, aircraft engine and equipment repair, emission reduction and green aviation. I believe that as long as we insist on innovation for development and cooperation for future, we will surely be able to jointly promote innovation in technology, product and service, and build a better future together with win-win cooperation.”
Rémi Paul, CEO and Country General Delegate – Safran China, introduced Safran and its main businesses in China, recalling Safran’s legacy with China Eastern. He said: “We are very grateful for China Southern Airlines’ long-term trust in Safran and the partnership we have built together since nearly 40 years. We are particularly impressed by China Southern’s efforts in the area of digitalization. Safran’s relationship with China Southern Airlines dates back to 1986, when the first CFM56 engine entered into service in the southern region of China, on the occasion of the delivery of the first Boeing 737-300 aircraft to China Southern Airlines (CAAC Central & Southern Bureau). Over the years, with the introduction of A320, A330, and A350 series aircraft to China Southern fleet, Safran has provided a wide range of direct support and services to China Southern, covering engines, nacelles, FADEC repairs, landing gears, wheels & braking systems, seats, cabin interior equipment on all types of Airbus aircraft. With the delivery of COMAC ARJ21, we will continue to provide China Southern Airlines with the most innovative, reliable and high-quality products and services, while further enhancing our exemplary partnership in the field of aviation!”
Business representatives of 10 Safran companies and joint ventures in China also presented to China Southern their businesses, products, and services in the areas of aircraft seats, cabins, aerosystems, landing systems, flight data management, engine test cells, nacelles, electrical systems, passenger in-flight entertainment systems, etc.
In the afternoon, Safran’s business teams conducted in-depth discussions and exchanges with the relevant business teams of China Southern Airlines in form of group discussion in order to further improve our products and services, while pushing our cooperation to new height.
