Li Zhiyong highly appreciated the event and said :“We are very proud that China Eastern is the only operator in the world with fleet equipped with the entire LEAP engine family (LEAP-1A, 1B and 1C). Safran Customer Day is a great opportunity for both sides to enhance our exchanges. Let's cherish this opportunity to honor our partnership, and more importantly, join hands to embrace the future.”

Rémi Paul, CEO and Country General Delegate – Safran China, recalled Safran’s legacy with China Eastern during the event. He said:“Safran's relation with China Eastern date back to 1985, when the first Boeing 737 aircraft equipped with CFM56 engines was delivered to CAAC and operated by Yunnan Airlines (China Eastern) and Southwest Airlines (Air China). Today, 70% to 80% of China Eastern aircraft is equipped with CFM56 or LEAP engines. Having received approvals from CAAC and EASA to repair and overhaul Boeing 737 and Airbus A320 landing gears, XIESA is now ready to offer a fast, responsive, reliable and cost-effective MRO support for Asian airlines and beyond, both on Boeing 737 and Airbus A320.
