Safran Cabin supports social distancing with innovative office partitions

Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, one of the most important decisions for many businesses is how to restart operations while maintaining the highest levels of safety for returning employees.

When this topic came up at the Safran Cabin headquarters in Huntington Beach, California, team members there recognized the need for low-cost office partitions in order to maintain proper social distancing and immediately began working on a solution.

Within two weeks, the Safran Cabin Innovation team members moved from concept to design to production of an effective partition made from medium-density overlay plywood and a clear polycarbonate – with four different designs that can be adapted to individual workspaces.

Installations underway at Safran operations

Safran Cabin has installed the partitions at several of its sites in the United States. In addition, it has made them available for other Safran operations to acquire – with orders now coming in steadily.

The partitions can be assembled at Huntington Beach in rapid succession. The mock-up process is well thought out on the front end to make manufacturing efficient. Cost and lead times for materials also are thought about on the front end, as well as configurability.

Adaptive for other companies’ utilization

Available exclusively for Safran businesses today, the partitions can be further adapted to ensure proper social distancing at outside companies, as well.
