Safran Electronics & Defense has signed a five-year contract with Emirates to provide maintenance and repair services for its components and those provided by Safran Landing Systems for the airline’s Airbus A380 fleet. This business win further cements the relationship with a major operator of Airbus A380 fleet.

The contract reflects Safran Electronics & Defense’s skills in the maintenance of its data acquisition systems as well as brake monitoring systems from Safran Landing Systems. Safran Electronics & Defense has been the service provider for these systems on Emirates’ Airbus A380 fleet since the aircraft entered service in 2008.

“We are very proud to have won this contract from such a prestigious airline,” said Thierry Lasbleis, head of customer support at Safran Electronics & Defense. “Our state-of-the-art and competitive solutions played a decisive role in this business win. By expanding our service offering, we will continue to develop our maintenance services for components on aircraft deployed around the world.”
