Safran among Top 100 Global Innovators for 2023
Safran has once again been named among the Top 100 Global Innovators™ in the list published for 2023 by Clarivate on February 16. This ranking confirms Safran’s status as one of the world’s most innovative companies.
Revealed on February 16, 2023, Clarivate's annual ranking of the world's 100 top innovators once again included Safran. Initially created by the Canadian consulting company Thomson Reuters in 2011, this ranking is based on four main criteria concerning the company's patents:
- Number of published patents
- Quality
- International reach
- Influence.
Innovation – crucial to the business
Some 75% of Safran's self-financed investments in research & technology are dedicated to decarbonizing our products. Innovation is therefore a cornerstone of our long-term strategy, helping us generate the breakthroughs that shape the future of aerospace.
Innovation is of course critical within Safran, but so is its protection. In 2021, for example, Safran filed for 1,037 patents, the most in France!
