The event brought together leaders from business, higher education institutions, and community organizations to explore strategies for building workforce partnerships.

CEO & General Manager at Safran Landing Systems Kentucky Philippe Garner delivered the opening keynote entitled, “The Business Case For Student Acquisition,” during which he explored ways in which the company’s Walton, Kentucky, facility is committed to attracting and retaining young talent through internships, training and partnerships with local colleges and universities.

This event was an opportunity for Safran Landing Systems to highlight how it invests in building strong pipelines from the classroom to the workplace. The company partners with Gateway Community & Technical College to offer the Advanced Manufacturing Technician Program (AMT) through the Kentucky Federation for Advanced Manufacturing Education (KY FAME). This two-year Associate Degree program incorporates cutting-edge curriculum, paid working experience, paid tuition, and workshops on manufacturing best practices. Safran Landing Systems has provided employment opportunities for AMT students and for graduates of the program.

Additionally, Safran Landing Systems partners with local universities – providing internship opportunities and conducting cutting-edge research collaboration.
