Promoting eco-friendly practices in Morocco

Held in Morocco’s Bouskoura forest, this year’s Green Challenge brought together 15 participants from Safran Electronics & Defense’s Casablanca site for a 5-kilometer obstacle course in which sustainability and respect for the environment were promoted. What is the goal of this race? To foster team spirit and sportsmanship among our employees, while demonstrating their commitment to environmental protection. In collaboration with the organizing team, employees collected garbage at the end of the race, leaving the forest as clean as when they arrived.

Also in Bouskoura, Meet the Runners organized the 7^th edition of its run through the forest. To reconnect with nature, female employees of Safran Aircraft Engines Services took part in a morning of energetic walking and running over 5 and 10 kilometers. The enthusiasm and commitment of the teams was commended, with particular emphasis on the importance of health, well-being and team spirit. 

By encouraging its teams to take part in events with a strong social and environmental impact, Safran upholds its responsibility towards local communities and the environment. Not only are these initiatives opportunities for physical activity, they are also valuable occasions for raising awareness and taking concrete action to protect the planet.
