Business

Safran Engineering Services Spain has successfully completed its move to new premises in Getafe, and fully resumed its activity. As well as providing more modern and better facilities, this new building will bring the company closer to its customers.

The new Safran Engineering Services Spain office is located in one of the best business parks and technological centers in Getafe: La Carpetania, where most of Safran's main customers and engineering companies are located. It can accommodate around 80 employees, although about 45% of the team is based on the sites of local and international customers. Indeed, 200 people work for the Spanish subsidiary on aeronautical and automotive activities.

"Safran Engineering Services Spain's main areas of knowledge cover the spectrum of engineering services from product development services to aftermarket and in-service support. It includes the design of aero structures, mechanical, fluid dynamic and thermal stress analysis, simulation and data science, the design of mechanical and electrical systems, the design of tooling and test benches, concessions and repairs, assembly line support and industrialization support," explained Mercedes Garcia, General Manager for Safran Engineering Services Spain. Moreover, the continuous incorporation of new and productive technologies is also one of the company's main pillars. It aims to support sustainable, smart and connected transport trends and needs.

"The new office enhances our image and presence on the Spanish market, not only by offering a refreshed image, but also a more modern building and better facilities. Furthermore, it allows us to be closer to our customers," Mercedes Garcia, General Manager for Safran Engineering Services Spain.

The new building also provides a better workspace and better office conditions. "We all work on the same floor and the office is more luminous than the previous one. It also gives our employees access to excellent services, including restaurants and coffee shops, and is easily accessible via public transport," continues Mercedes.

An informal gathering was organized on the first morning to celebrate the move and help employees feel welcome in their new offices. "Exceptional teamwork on all levels enabled a smooth move with zero impact on business continuity",
