New mobilities, new energies (e-Power talk)
Friday 21 June 2019 was the last day of e-Power talks on Safran’s stand at the Paris Air Show. Here is the one by Nicolas Jeuland, Future Fuels Expert, on “New mobilities and new energies.”

Is there a way to keep on travelling while shrinking our environmental footprint? Aviation only accounts for 2% to 3% of CO2 emissions but air travel is on a steady upward trend. Safran is busy working to meet its ecological commitments and invests 75% of its research budget in reducing environmental footprints.
The most promising leads to make air travel more sustainable include lighter aircraft parts (equipment, seats, etc.), hybrid propulsion and biofuels.
