National Manufacturing Day is an opportunity to inspire the next generation about the industry and careers in modern manufacturing​. In celebration of this important day, Safran is highlighting some of its facilities across the United States.

In Rochester, New Hampshire, Safran Aircraft Engines partners with Albany International to produce aircraft engine parts in 3D woven composites using the RTM (resin transfer molding) process.

 

Safran Aerosystems – the world leader in emergency evacuation technologies – produces life vests at its facility in Liberty, Mississippi.

 

For 40 years, Safran Helicopter Engines has been assembling and repairing helicopter engines in Grand Prairie, Texas. There are over 3,200 Arriel engines in service across the U.S.

Safran Aero Boosters’ subsidiary Safran Oil Systems manufactures oil tanks for commercial aircraft engines in Fort Myers, Florida.

 

Safran Optics 1 designs and produces laser rangefinders, visual augmentation systems, inertial navigation systems and targeting solutions in Bedford, New Hampshire.

 

Safran Passenger Solutions develops integrated water and waste systems for airplanes at its Carson, California facility.

 

In San Diego, California, Safran Power Units assembles business jet auxiliary power units (APUs).
