 “Growing up, I would often fly with my family and was always in awe of the intricate and innovative designs of the cabins”. Fermin has always been fascinated by aircraft design. This is why he chose a career in engineering in the aerospace industry. 

Fermin started his career with Safran 22 years ago, as a design engineer. Today, he is Manager of Engineering in Safran Cabin’s Aftermarket department: “the combination of creativity and technical expertise required for this role is truly fulfilling for me. I find immense satisfaction in ensuring that aircraft interiors are designed to meet customer needs and expectations”.

For Fermin, being an engineer also means, “being adaptable and versatile; engineering is a field that is constantly changing and evolving. To be successful in this field, it is important to stay up to date with the latest technologies”. In his role, Fermin focuses on “clearly understanding the customer's requirements”. This is key to helping them find the best solutions possible.
