Kick-off of the first Safran Customer Day in China
The very first session of the “Safran Customer Days in China” kicked off on Oct. 20th in Beijing. The full-day event was dedicated to Air China and brought together over 70 representatives from this one and only flag-carrier airlines of China and nine of Safran’s companies, each being a major player in their segment in the Chinese market.
Philippe Bardol, Safran General Delegate for China and CEO of Safran China, opened the day with a presentation of the Group specially addressing the legacy of over four decades with the customer. In fact, “Safran’s relationship with Air China could date back to 1979 when the first engine test cell was delivered to the airlines’ MRO unit AMECO,” he mentioned, adding that the two parties’ MRO joint-venture SSAMC, created in 1999, is nowadays the first facility in the country with LEAP-1B MRO qualification.
Safran’s local business and customer support teams from Aircraft Engines, Landing Systems, Seats, Electronics & Defense, Nacelles, Aerosystems, Cabin, Electrical & Power and Aero Boosters were then given the opportunity to present their organizations, products and services to the clients. In addition, sub-group meetings were arranged in the afternoon between Safran’s business units and Air China customers, an occasion to closely listen to the clients’ feed-back and expectations.
This very first session of Safran Customer Days in China demonstrated the commitment of all Safran teams in China to better serve and support the clients.
