To complete the first article inspection, we have replaced our traditional process for a 3D inspection. At the end of the production line, we scan the full assembly. The 3D model and scanned data are compared and overlapped and we know very quickly if a part is not right positioned. This method reduces the time to inspect to a fraction of the time!
