Disability Employment: Safran is getting involved!

Corporate social responsibility

Once again, Safran took part in the European Disability Employment Week*. Find out about the various actions carried out within facilities as well as the initiatives launched throughout the year to change people's perceptions of disability.

Since 2011, Safran has been pursuing a proactive policy to support people with disabilities, with specific recruitment measures to ensure job retention and facilitate the inclusion of people with disabilities into its facilities. Safran's sites in France are using the European Disability Employment Week to demonstrate their commitment to the inclusion of people with disabilities. All companies are involved and putting on several activities within facilities. The goal is to change the way people perceive disability.

Raising awareness by training employees

The goal of all these actions initiated during this week was to change the way people perceive disability at work : information points and sketches on disability in facilities, games and quizzes, Trivial Pursuit, photo exhibitions, meeting between employees and associations…

In adition, many employees, and managers too, received training focusing on the work of people with disabilities to raise awareness of their visual impairment: how to welcoming them; two-hour flash sessions held and an online challenge to discover the Group's innovations for people with disabilities
