Delivery of the first NARANG aerial platform for export
Safran Aerosystems has delivered its first NARANG* refueling pod for export.

The Fuel & Control Systems Business Unit of Safran Aerosystems (FCS) started in December 2011 a project to modernize existing air refueling pods developed more than 30 years ago to equip the Super-Etendard then the Rafale of the Navy.
Indeed this new generation of pods can significantly increase the range of action of combat aircraft.
It also offers higher throughput than previous generations and simplified maintenance. Thanks to the autonomy it gives to the devices, the platform is also an essential element of safety during deck-landing operations.
A total of 8 refueling pods will be modernized and 16 new refueling pods have been ordered.
After 7 years of development and investment by the teams, the first NARANG pod was delivered to our first customer
This program launched in December 2011 was a particulary important project for the Safran Group: a large part of the Safran Aerosystems Roche la Molière site was mobilized for this project with the support of the Plaisir site.
This challenge raised by Safran Aerosystems is only the beginning of a series, since the objective is the same: to deliver 7 others NARANG pods this year.
