CampusFab, the fabulous campus of the Industry of the Future
The training center of the Industry of the Future, launched by actors of French industry and located at Bondoufle, has just been given the name CampusFab. Entirely dedicated to the digital transformation of the industrial world, the site will provide training for several hundred persons in the form of apprenticeships or continuous education.
Launched in 2016 at the site of Bondoufle (Essonne), the training platform for the Factory of the Future* has just been baptized CampusFab. Behind the initiative is a consortium composed of manufacturers (including Safran, Fives, GIFAS and Dassault Systèmes, which just joined the consortium), training centers, the AStech Paris-Région competitiveness cluster and The Adecco Group (world leader for employment solutions).
The objectives of this School for the Industry of the Future? Facilitate the digital transformation of industry in France with a view to boosting competitiveness within the sector and supporting skills development for its actors. In addition, it will help strengthen the sector’s attractiveness and fill the structural candidate gap for the business lines concerned.
To do so, the training centre will welcome around a hundred apprentices every year as well as several hundred employees doing continuing training. The CampusFab provides them with the industrial and digital means typical of a “Factory of the Future”: digital room, additive manufacturing hub, assembly line using robots, cobots and automated carts, assembly and erection hubs, maintenance and production means hub, etc.
In addition, the first session of a training centre entitled “Digital culture and collaborative practices”, dispensed by the CampusFab platform, was held on 4-5 June in the workshops of l’AFORP** in Drancy. The goal was to help participants become familiar with digital technology and understand the impact of digital transformation on modes of organization and work.
