All of the French major groups who signed the paper have been strongly established in the UK for decades, and they are calling the British citizens to vote for remain as they argue that the country?s economic attractiveness will decrease if the UK loses access to the common market: ?Our companies invest in the UK and employ thousands all over England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, in every walk of life [?].Today?s jobs and tomorrow?s investment ? and hence future jobs ? depend on the EU being firmly and lastingly anchored within the single market.?

As a conclusion, they quoted Jacques Brel, the beloved singer of the French: ?Please don?t leave. From your French friends?.
