A Bell 505 visits Grand Prairie to mark the Arrius 2R deliveries

Production of the Arrius 2R is proceeding to plan at Safran Helicopter Engines USA, Grand Prairie TX. On 18 May 2017, Arrius 2R deliveries has been marked by a visit by senior Bell executives aboard a Bell 505, the first of their helicopters to be powered by a Safran engine.

It provided the opportunity for Safran employees to examine the end-result of all their efforts. The event was intended to symbolise the new partnership uniting Bell Helicopter and Safran Helicopter Engines.

The first Bell 505 powered by the Arrius 2R entered service in March 2017 with Pylon Aviation.
