Appointment of Thomas Thellier as VP Purchasing for Safran Transmission Systems

After a first experience in the Automotive and then Defense sectors, in 2012, Thomas joined Safran Aircraft Engines in Gennevilliers as a Purchaser for Rotating forged Parts in the context of supplier selections for development and serial production for the LEAP 1A/1B/1C programs. In 2015, Thomas became Coordinator and then Purchasing Manager for Turbine Blades, supporting the validation, ramp-up and cost reduction plan for LEAP engines, as well as the CFM56 ramp down. Following the periods of suspension of the 737MAX program then Covid, he actively took part in the adaptation of the supply chain strategy and the associated supplier monitoring. Since 2020, Thomas held the position of Group Material Purchasing Manager for Material for Forge and Casting, with the main challenges of securing material supplies following the post-Covid demand resumption and the constraints generated by successive geopolitical crises.
