A 100% finance trophy for Nathalie Boschetti

Finance

Nathalie Boschetti, Administrative and Financial Director at Safran Ventilation Systems, was awarded a trophy by the Association of Financial Directors and Management Controllers (DFCG) in the Midi-Pyrénées region.

A finance trophy

Every year, the DFCG Midi-Pyrénées, the regional association of Financial Directors and Management Controllers, awards a trophy to an Administrative and Financial Director of a local company for the pertinence of their management methods and their contribution to the company’s performance. After a long selection process, which began in May 2018 and ended with a speech in front of a jury of 16 people, the 2018 trophy was awarded to Nathalie Boschetti on 19 November.

A career at Safran

Nathalie Boschetti joined Safran Electrical & Power in 1998 as Management Controller for the Wiring activities at the Vichy site. From 2000 to 2001, she was Management Controller for the Services activities at the sites of Toulouse, Saint-Ouen and Mérignac. In 2001, she took charge of the French sites of the engineering division and in 2006 she became Director of Management Control for what is now Safran Engineering Services, a job with an international scope. Since late 2013, Nathalie Boschetti is Administrative and Financial Director of Safran Ventilation Systems in Blagnac. She coordinates a team of 12 people, supervising accounts, management control, cash flow, taxation, internal control, export control, trade compliance, and she is a sponsor of ERP projects.

A structuring project

So, in 2018, Nathalie Boschetti decided to apply for the DFCG award: "to promote the company in the region and show how much the job has a structuring role, can open up to encompass many fields, and has a big impact on company performance", she explains. So what is next on her agenda? "The aim is to put Finance at the service of the Supply Chain, to anticipate today to prepare for the challenges of tomorrow”. In practical terms, four years ago Nathalie set up systematic budgetary procedures which linked up sales functions and supply chain functions to steer the company more efficiently: "The objective of the project was to create clear and systematic budgetary procedures to boost the company’s industrial growth. It helped the Finance teams to go beyond their usual field of expertise to provide real support for the operational staff and federate different functions in the company. Finally, this project is part of One Safran Finance and Supply Chain because it is based on continued improvement of this process which cuts across all the strata of the company", she adds.

Thanks to this Trophy, Safran Ventilation Systems shows its agility, within the Safran Group, to rise to the challenges of its industrial environment.
