The CEO of Safran Transmission Systems distinguished by the FCE-Aero Awards

On Thursday, June 22, the GIFAS (French aerospace industry association) chalet was the setting for the FCE-Aero Awards ceremony during which four female executives or CEOs were distinguished for their careers in the aerospace industry. As one the women being honored, Hélène Moreau Leroy, CEO of Safran Transmission Systems, was presented with the "Exceptional Career for a Female CEO" award.
These trophies promote excellence in French industry and highlight the exemplary careers of women to encourage interest and incite vocations in the aerospace sector.
Holding a degree from INSA Lyon (1987) and an MBA from the University of New England (Australia, 1994), Hélène Moreau-Leroy started her career in various management roles in design offices and international purchasing and industrial departments in groups such as Thomson and Alstom. In 2003, she was hired by Safran's Purchasing Department to manage the field of forged and raw materials.
In 2005, she joined Messier-Dowty as the international Supply Chain Development Manager and in 2008, became Director of the Airbus and European Programs Business Unit and then Director of Messier-Bugatti-Dowty (now Safran Landing Systems) Programs in 2011.
She was appointed CEO of Hispano-Suiza (now Safran Transmission Systems) in 2013, a position she currently holds. Hélène Moreau-Leroy is a member of the Executive Committee of GIFAS's aerospace and defense equipment group (GEAD). She is also active in promoting female careers in the industry.
