An exciting weekend in Arzon, with the upcoming Safran Sailing Challenge
Arzon, September 14, 2015
Safran is organizing is 10th Sailing Challenge from September 18 to 20 near town of Arzon, in Crouesty Harbor, southern Brittany. Coordinated by the Safran Sailing Challenge association, this is the largest corporate regatta in France. It will set a new record this year, with 127 boats and nearly 1,000 participants from 13 Safran companies in France, Belgium, Germany, Britain and even the United States.
The Sailing Challenge in fact combines a race and a rally: it includes three days of sailboat races (regattas open to all, from beginners to seasoned sailors), and various games and special events. The Sailing Challenge is designed to foster participants' feeling of belonging to a single enterprise and help them get to know each other in a friendly atmosphere, united by their common passion for sailing.
The Safran Sailing Challenge also allows these sailing fans from Safran companies to meet the Safran Sailing Team, especially Morgan Lagravière and Nicolas Lunven, who will be competing in the Transat Jacques Vabre transatlantic race later this year. The two skippers will be at the helm of the new Safran racing yacht, sailing alongside the fleet on Saturday afternoon.
