Morpho Detection Opens New U.S. R&D and Manufacturing Center for Advanced Detection Solutions
ANDOVER, Mass. – April 17, 2015
Morpho (Safran), through its subsidiary Morpho Detection, today announced the opening of a new research and development (R&D) and manufacturing center in Andover, Massachusetts.
Dedicated to the development and testing of advanced detection technologies, the new Andover facility houses its (ITMS™) Trace Explosives and Narcotics Detection Center of Excellence and the R&D and production facility for its newest product – the SourceID™ handheld Radiation Isotope Identification Device (RIID).
Previously located in Middlesex County for more than 20-years, Morpho Detection has assembled and shipped more than 23,000 explosives and narcotics detectors from Massachusetts to airports, air cargo facilities, military and government installations and secure locations around the world.
