Safran launches recruiting campaign for technicians and line workers in France
Paris, October 7, 2014
Safran, a world leader in the aerospace, defense and security markets, has launched a new communications campaign to recruit nearly 1,000 technicians and line workers in France, following the initial recruiting campaign to promote its employer brand in 2012.
The campaign uses photos of Safran's skilled craftsmen at work to burnish the image of technical trades among young people, by emphasizing the know-how of these skilled men and women and their passion for their work. The ad visuals underscore the beauty, precision and dexterity of the technical skills involved, as well as the sophisticated end-product, such as jet engines.
"Technical trades are a pivotal part of an industrial enterprise whose history reaches back more than a century," explains Jean-Luc Bérard, Safran Vice President for Human Resources. "We hired over a thousand technicians and line workers last year. These trades embody skills and expertise that the aerospace, defense and security industries will need for many years to come. People who work for Safran can be assured of developing their careers in an exciting high-tech environment, where they will master the most advanced techniques and processes in our sectors. Each employee can really shape his or her own career path within Safran."
These technicians and line workers make key components for Safran's flagship products, such as the turbine blades on the best-selling CFM56 engine, or the nacelles for the A380 super-jumbo jet. Their future is guaranteed as well, since they will be making key parts for new programs conducted by Safran, such as the LEAP aircraft engine, or systems for "more electric" aircraft.
The communications campaign was deployed in late September, and includes press ads and radio spots, web banners and posters. The media plan focuses on the greater Paris area and the Bordeaux region – two areas where Safran has established a very solid presence.
Safran will hire some 6,000 new employees in 2014, including 2,500 in France, and plans to add 5,000 more in 2015.
