Safran, a world leader in aerospace, defense and security, will be hiring 160 staff members this year for its new Research & Technology (R&T) Center in the Saclay technology cluster near Paris.
The facility will develop new technologies for all Safran businesses. Safran is therefore looking for engineers and scientists, both recent graduates and seasoned professionals, specialized in advanced materials and processes, sensors and detection systems, signal and data processing, advanced algorithms, structural and fluid mechanics, propulsion and aircraft systems.

* Research & Technology (R&T) is one aspect of R&D: it's the initial part of the process, and includes all design, research and technology demonstration activities that give Safran the expertise needed to develop innovative products, while keeping risks, lead-times and costs under control. In 2013, Safran spent some 1.8 billion euros on R&D, equal to 12% of revenues. More than one-fifth of the Group's workforce is involved in R&D, including 450 doctoral scientists and 150 doctoral candidates.
