Safran film "Women’s Viewpoint" wins best corporate film award at "Of Stars and Wings" Festival in France

Paris, le 19 novembre 2013

Safran has won the prize for best corporate film at the aerospace film festival Des étoiles et des ailes ("Of Stars and Wings"), for its short film, "Women's Viewpoint". The festival was organized in Toulouse from November 14 to 17, 2013, and recognized the best films by companies in the aerospace sector.

"Women's viewpoint" was directed by Emmanuel Saada from the agency 2425 PROD, and spotlighted the talented women working at Safran companies.

Through this short film, Safran stakes out its position in favor of increasing the number of women working in industry. Safran's objective is for at least 25% of new hires to be women. The Group participates in a number of different initiatives to promote science and technology careers among female high school and college students, since these professions are too often considered reserved to men. Since 2006, Safran has been a partner in the association Elles bougent ("Women on the Move"), which seeks to inspire women to choose careers in industry, as well as the internationally renowned Women's Forum in Deauville. In June 2013, Safran also joined "Women in Engineering", an initiative launched by the Altran group, bringing together a network of top women executives in this field to make engineering more attractive to other women.

The annual festival "Of Stars and Wings" awards prizes to aerospace films in four main categories: corporate films, product marketing, internal communications and documentaries. Two other Safran films made it into the finals this year: La tête dans les étoiles ("Head in the Stars"), in the documentary category, and En direct de la place du village ("Live from the Village Square") in the internal communications category.

In 2012 Safran's corporate film won the award for the best 3D film.
