Signature of contract between Turbomeca (Safran) and Zodiac Hydraulics

Bordes, 3 September 2013

Turbomeca (Safran) and Zodiac Hydraulics (Zodiac Aerospace group) signed a contract worth 75 million Euros for a period of 15 years. This contract concerns the supply of hydromechanical equipment dedicated to the control systems of Turbomeca turboshaft engines.

Frédéric Rascouailles, Turbomeca Purchasing VP, announced: "We are delighted to collaborate in the long term with Zodiac Hydraulics. This French company of 300 people is one of the world leaders in its field and its contribution therefore directly affects our own performance. This contract comes under our "supplier transformation plan" which identifies key partners and has a continuous improvement plan for the four following areas: quality,
costs, deadlines and technical aspects. Our new engine, the Arrano, will therefore benefit from the knock-on effects of this contract.

Laurent Quévat, Zodiac Hydraulics Chief Executive Officer, commented: "This is an important turning point for our two companies which have been collaborating together on all Turbomeca engines for several decades now. This contract will give a very positive boost to daily relations but also, and above all, to the vision of the future that we hope to share with Turbomeca. Our expertise in terms of the design and manufacture of equipment and subsystems intended for airplane and helicopter engines allows us to offer a vast range of products adapted to our customers' needs. Our strategy and our investments will allow us to consolidate our positions and offer the best industrial compromise."
