Safran signs wage & salary agreements as part of 2013 mandatory annual negotiations

Paris, April 10, 2013

For the third year in a row, all Safran companies have signed wage & salary agreements within the scope of France's mandatory annual negotiations.

The agreements signed will increase compensation levels within the Group by 3% to 3.15%, including 2.85% to 3% for general and individual raises, and 0.15% for specific measures to favor gender equality, young people and professional mobility.

A growing – and recruiting - Group

After an excellent year in 2011, Safran posted strong growth once again in 2012, with sales up by 15.5% to 13.6 billion euros.

To support this growth, Safran hired over 7,000 new employees in 2012 (including about half in France). This strong recruitment will help renew generations, cope with the increase in business volumes and strengthen the Group's R&D resources.

Safran once again expects to hire 7,000 new employees in 2013, leading to a net increase in the consolidated workforce of nearly 2,800 people, including 1,600 in France.

Safran's total contribution to employee profit-sharing and incentive plans in 2012, including a social contribution, amounts to €293 million, an increase of 38% over the previous year.
