Hervé Bouaziz named deputy to Safran’s Executive Vice President, Defense-Security branch

Hervé Bouaziz joined the Safran group on December 1, 2010 as deputy to Olivier Andriès, Executive Vice President, Defense-Security branch.

Hervé Bouaziz, 42, holds degrees from the Ecole Polytechnique (1988) and the Sup' Aero aeronautical engineering school (1993). He started his career in 1994 with the flight test center at French defense procurement agency DGA, as a test engineer, before being named head of the vision-optronics section and manager of the parabolic flight program. In 1999 he joined the aircraft program department, with responsibility for the air-ground capabilities of the Mirage 2000 and Rafale. He was named director of the Mirage 2000 N and D program in 2001, taking charge of the integration of cruise missiles and guided bombs, as well as the tactical datalink.
In 2004 Hervé Bouaziz left for the United States to attend the Industrial College of the Armed Forces, graduating in 2005, when he was named deputy weapons attaché at the French embassy in Washington, D.C.
Returning to France in 2008, he rejoined the DGA as head of the armed forces systems division in the defense analysis center, in charge of various studies and experiments for future defense systems.

Hervé Bouaziz holds a military pilot's license in the French air force.
