Safran Electronics & Defense Massy

Located in the Paris region, in the immediate vicinity of Paris-Saclay, France's largest R&D center, our facility has been anchored in the Massy area for over 70 years. It was created in 1947 by the SFIM Industrie group, before becoming part of SAGEM in 2000, then Safran in 2005. Over these decades, the Massy teams have occupied several buildings in the Massy-Palaiseau station area. The plant has therefore been at the heart of the transformation of the Atlantis district, and is now perfectly integrated into this dynamic new neighborhood. What's more, we benefit from unrivalled transport links: RER B, RER C, TGV station, D188 and D20 departmental roads, A6 and A10 freeways and Orly airport. Not to mention the new T12 tramway and the future line 18 of the Grand Paris Express.

Our facility brings together R&D, program, sales and MRO customer support teams, as well as the supply chain of the Industrial, Purchasing and Quality Departments, and other support functions. 

We want to pass on our passion for our professions to up-and-coming talent. To this end, we encourage apprenticeships at all levels. In 2023, we welcomed nearly 200 interns and apprentices, as well as a dozen PhD students. We are also involved with young people in training through job dating and school visits organized on our site, partnerships with local high schools and colleges, and regular participation in school forums.
 

We are also fully committed to the Group's diversity policy, notably through a network of "Elles bougent" mentors, and to the integration of disabled workers, both among our teams and through partnerships with adapted companies. The establishment is also committed to a low-carbon approach and to reducing our energy consumption over the long term (for example: installation of a photovoltaic power plant on the main building by the end of 2023).
