Safran Aero Composite - Commercy
Safran Aéro Composite, located in Commercy, eastern France, was inaugurated in November 2014. It is dedicated to the manufacture of 3D woven composite parts for the LEAP engine, using the RTM (resin transfer molding) process.

The plant spans some 27,000 square meters and is built on the same model as the American plant in Rochester, New Hampshire, inaugurated in March 2014, and the Querétaro, Mexico plant, inaugurated in 2018. Safran Aircraft Engines teams up with Albany International, a specialist in industrial weaving, to make fan blades and cases for the LEAP engine in all three of these plants.
