A new shop for the LEAP engine
Le Creusot houses nearly 200 employees in 18,000 square meters of floorspace. It recently built a new 4,000 square meter shop for the LEAP engine, featuring latest-generation milling machines and with an annual capacity of more than 3,000 turbine disks. These parts undergo extreme loads during operation, including very high rotational speed, very high temperatures and centrifugal loads exceeding a ton.
