Safran Helicopter Engines Brasil was the first international site created by Safran Helicopter Engines in 1977. Initially dedicated to Arriel 1 operations in Latin America, Safran Helicopter Engines Brasil expanded in 2003 with the implementation of its Customer Support team and MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul) facility located in Rio de Janeiro.

Today, Safran Helicopter Engines Brasil is managed by Jean-Michel Tomas and employs 174 people.

Safran Helicopter Engines do Brasil

In addition to its Customer Support activities, Safran Helicopter Engines Brasil is certified to repair, overhaul and test Arriel 1, Arriel 2, Makila 1 and Makila 2 engines.

With its own Certified Maintenance Center (CMC), Safran Helicopter Engines Brasil provides maintenance level 1-3 services for Arrius, Arriel, Makila and Arrano engines throughout the region. In addition, 7 other Certified Maintenance Centers form the Safran Helicopter Engines Latin America network, in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Guatemala, Panama and Mexico.
