The Compliance & Logistics Coordinator is a central support function within Safran Landing Systems Kentucky. In this role you will be responsible for defined work or projects with moderate complexity. This position will meet day-to-day short-term objectives, and resolve issues through immediate action or short-term planning to ensure the company's processes, internal controls, and reporting are compliant with international laws & regulations; as well as, company policies and procedures.
Responsibilities include: Maintains Record Keeping SharePoint database and document repository, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations; as well as, company policy. Research shipment status based on priority and provide feedback to relevant parties; proactively question and challenge to ensure commitments are met in compliance with agreements. Collaborate with appropriate division or departments to investigate and resolve complex customer concerns in a timely manner. Files, follow up and tracks freight claims with carriers, record monetary value of claims paid. Organize when needed, international and domestic shipments. Ensures logistic guidelines and carrier selection processes are being followed. Responds to Carriers, customs brokers and authorized filing agents inquiries. Performs periodic audits on import/export shipment transactions to ensure accuracy of filings; develop and report on periodic basis analysis of results to key stakeholders. Support compliance with ITAR , EAR and US Customs including classification of products and technology (USML, CCL, HTSUS). May be requested to support Export License Application process. Supports development, administration and maintenance of the site's Compliance Program. Completes special projects and reports as assigned.
