Job Description

Under the direction of the Chief Operating Officer, the Service Operations Manager will plan, direct and coordinate activities within the Technical Services/Repair team; plans activities with other departments to support technical services activities for the Norcross, GA site; ensures compliance with FAR/DFAR requirements for government contracts.

Complementary Description

Manage team of service engineers and technicians to conduct day-to-day activities for technical and avionic product repair.

Ensure customer satisfaction by managing the service team in meeting contractual and repair TAT commitments.

Develop repair quotations and maintenance proposals for Safran Data Systems customers.

Coordinate remote service activities with Field Engineering teams.

Develop and maintain diagnostic and repair capability in Norcross facility.

Work closely with Sales team to coordinate warranty and product support contracts.

Develop and maintain spares inventory system to manage obsolescence and TAT commitments.

Monitor obsolescence alerts and Requests/Change Orders for the product line.

Ensures team members have proper training, including technical training, Environmental Health and Safety (EHS).

Trains and assists team members in proper work procedures and practices.

Ensures maintenance activity is properly documented on work orders and associated quality documentation.

Job Requirements

5+ years' experience in customer support environment within production and/or manufacturing.

Experience with technical products in aerospace or related field.

Experience with AS9100 or ISO 9001.

ERP system experience.

Knowledge of FAR Parts 45, FAR 52.245 Government Property clauses.

Knowledge of handling and storing Government property.

Ability to analyze complex issues to identify root cause and corrective actions.

Demonstrated ability to communicate at all organizational levels.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.

Knowledge of Safe Storage and Handling procedures for various chemicals and materials.

Detail-oriented, self-starter with ability to work in a self-directed as well as team environment.

Safety Culture oriented.
