Antenna Validation Engineer

Performs large antenna and RF test-related activities, mostly in our Norcross, GA facility, but with occasional travel (less than 25%) to customer locations and at times to France.

Perform Safran telemetry and space antenna system integration tests at Safran Data Systems, Inc. facility in Metro Atlanta, GA.

Provide customer operational support and troubleshooting (phone and e-mail), delivering a positive customer service experience both internally and externally.

Actively participate in a continuous improvement culture providing recommendations and implementing enhancements to current methods and procedures.

Provide onsite technical support including acceptance tests, installations, maintenance, repairs and troubleshooting.

Install software and perform related tests.

Perform customer training.

Document customer requirements.

Write service minutes and test reports.

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or other relevant STEM field preferred.

Three years of related experience is preferred.

Aerospace industry experience is preferred. Additionally, experience in avionic and/or antenna systems is a plus.

Demonstrated knowledge of antennas (radiation diagram, G/T, Voltage Standing Wave Ratio, etc.).

Knowledge of RF chains (cables, connectors, waveguides, frequency converters, couplers, LNA, etc.

Understanding of position feedback such as encoders and resolvers.

Understanding of mechanical and electrical drawings.

Ability to troubleshoot an energized electro-mechanical system.

Ability to work in a self-directed work environment, as well as with cross-functional teams.

Positive outlook and desire to do what is best for the customer.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written, with a proven ability to collaborate with individuals and teams in a multi-cultural, international environment.
