Antenna Production Manager

Job Description

Under direction of the COO, the Antenna Production Manager will manage the Safran Data Systems, Inc. telemetry and space antenna system integration/validation team and organize production.

Essential Job Functions:

Enforce the Safran safety and quality standard, processes and compliance of the products with internal and customer requirements.

Provide schedule and man-hours input for quotation and for budget follow-up on projects.

Coordinate activities with the French part of the company.

Develop the US company's skills and capabilities: technical autonomy, assist the development of the US supply chain.

Be a technical reference for the team's activities including acceptance tests, installations, maintenance, repairs and troubleshooting.

Perform steady operational reporting.

Actively participate in continuous improvement, providing recommendations and implementing enhancements to current methods, procedures and organization.

Job Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or other related STEM discipline preferred.

3-5 years' relevant work experience.

Experience in aerospace industry preferred.

Experience with antenna systems integration including antenna testing, RF reception chains.

Experience with automated systems: sensors, actuators, position feedback and servo driving.

Technical understanding of mechanical and electrical drawings with the ability to use them for troubleshooting.

Experience with direct management of a small team.

Strong interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written, with a proven ability to coordinate activities in a multi-cultural environment.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and capacity for adaptation and change reacting to un-forecast events.

Ability to work in a self-directed, as well a teamworking environment.

Due to multiple interactions with teams located in Europe, experience working with international teams would be a plus.

Customer focus, positive outlook and desire to do what is best for the customer and the company.

Specificity of the job

Travel of less than 10% is anticipated.
