Summary:
Safran Test Cells has been designing, building, installing and maintaining Test Cells and Aero-engine testing equipment for over 60 years ensuring optimal performance of our products worldwide. The Maintenance Service Engineer plays a key role in ensuring optimal performance by planning, designing and implementing maintenance programs and by providing on-going technical support for our clients looking for innovative solutions to complex performance and maintenance issues. Additionally, they will work toward forming partnerships with clients helping them identify and implement value-added solutions to fit all their needs, both current and future.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Perform all maintenance activities with a safety-first mindset seeking opportunities to improve health and safety policies and procedures while following STC safety policies.
• Perform test cell troubleshooting and diagnose breakdown problems of in-service equipment to improve reliability
• Perform engineering evaluations to determine the performance and durability of each test cell
• Develop maintenance strategies, procedures, and methods, that support installation and commissioning guidelines
• Manage project implementation and delivery, preparing installation guides, field test procedures and troubleshooting guides for Field Service Technicians.
• Implement, and maintain best practices related to installation, communication and maintenance of test cells while establishing maintaining ISO compliance of testing equipment
• Develop and monitor maintenance budgets by utilizing existing contracts ensuring profit projections are achieved.
• Conduct technical analysis and analyze test results looking for data trends and anomalies; using data interpretations, develop investigative action plans recommending modifications and enhancements where needed.
• Visit customers' installations, perform audits as required, and support the Field Service Team from the office or on site for maintenance operations
• Carry out routine scheduled maintenance work, respond to equipment faults and repairs in a timely manner, while working within maintenance budgets as specified in existing contracts.
• Enhance service quality and equipment reliability by improving workflows and optimizing maintenance processes
• Actively participate in a continuous improvement culture providing recommendations and implementing enhancements to and complying with all current methods and procedures
Job Requirements
Education/Experience:
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering required
• Experience in jet engine test cell design preferred
Qualifications:
• Basic knowledge of Aeroderivative engine components, controls, assembly, test and quality methods
• Must demonstrate exceptional communication skills by conveying necessary information accurately, listening effectively and asking questions where clarification is needed
• Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness; actively seeks opportunities to improve quality and monitors own work to ensure quality is met
• Self-motivated, organized, able to multi-task, prioritize and excel in a fast-paced environment
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the firm
• Demonstrated knowledge of MS Office programs to include Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
• Skills in NVH Testing analysis with experience in MATLAB or Minitab would be a plus
Specificity of the job
• Able and willing to travel up to 10% of the time both domestically and internationally, as required
