Safran Cabin Materials located in Marysville, WA is recruiting for a:
The Senior Accountant is responsible for multitude of functions including General ledger, Cost Accounting, Internal Controls and assisting the Controller with budget,
reforecast and various adhoc projects. Ensure all financial reporting conforms to GAAP and company policies. This position will report to the Controller.
Job duties include but are not limited to:
Cost Accounting (includes but not limited to, tracking variances, margin analysis, standard costing and labor tracking)
Responsible for the general ledger. Liaison between local site and shared services teams to resolve any issues that may arise.
Internal Control - Good understanding of Safran group policies. Ensure assigned controls are tested and all significant risks addressed, prepares clear and well-organized audit work papers.
Works in conjunction with Internal Control Manager (ICM) and Controller to execute controls/testing in a timely complete manner.
Assist Controller with various adhoc reports and projects as assigned – identify trends, variances to budget and track performance. Help identify areas of cost savings.
Assist with the month end close, MTP, budget and monthly reforecast preparation.
Other duties as assigned by management.
Education: Bachelor's Degree concentration in Accounting/Finance preferred
Experience: 5+ years of experience in accounting
Experience with an ERP system. SAP a plus.
Manufacturing experience highly desirable.
Excellent analytical skills.
Excellent organizational and communication (written and verbal) skills.
Cost accounting, internal control and general ledger experience highly desirable.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel spreadsheets (pivots, vlookup).
Familiarity with windows based operating systems.
Proficient use of MS Office products including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
Mid-level position within field
Does require fluent communication in English.
Employment status is full-time.

Relocation to another facility may be required.
