Job Description

Job Summary:
Constructs aircraft structure parts by laying-up resin infused glass material in a sequence and process in an autoclave as described on engineering drawings and company specifications.

Summary of Duties:
 Adheres to company specifications, work instructions, engineering prints and work orders
 Documents the materials used in the process to maintain traceability including out times of cold stored materials.
 Builds structural components via vacuum bagging using resin systems with carbon fiber reinforcements.
 Skilled at laying up extremely tight radiuses and contours.
 Process time of build is longer per part due to the part complexity.
 Properly identifies and communicates defects in tooling.
 Meets takt times while maintaining specified level of quality
 Safely handles various regulated materials used in the process.
 General Notes:
o Must carefully handle raw material and manufactured parts to ensure the integrity and quality is not compromised by handling.

o As business conditions change it is necessary that all employees productively react and handle other essential tasks as assigned now or in the future.
o Tasks may vary slightly based on products produced at division.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Experience:
o 2-3 years minimum experience in Lay Up or equivalent.
o Aerospace industry preferred.
o Demonstrated effective communication skills.

Computer Skills: Ability to operate and comprehend data using Windows Operating System®, and MPR systems.

Other Skills: Ability to read and follow engineering blue prints / manufacturing orders desired.
