The Sr. Systems Engineering role is responsible for engaging in aircraft subsystem development and verification in support of aircraft certification and field maintenance. Daily tasks will include: system requirements capture, requirements decomposition, system architecture design, system modeling, requirements validation, system verification planning, system verification design, system verification, design documentation, and corrective action investigations. Other tasks will arise as necessary to complete customer support and system certification objectives. As our products are employed in safety critical applications, Senior Systems Engineers need to be experienced with and disciplined in the application of aerospace development processes such as ARP4754A and environmental test standards defined in DO-160. Support of our ElectroMechanical products requires broad engineering knowledge including electrical and mechanical fundamentals. A systems engineer will use a variety of commercial and proprietary tools to aid and enable execution of tasks.
- The position requires a Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering and 5 years of experience in the job offered or in mechanical design. - All 5 years of stated experience must include: executing DO-160 environmental and EMI qualification tests; responsibility for root cause corrective action pertaining to DO-160 test failures; leadership of verification tasks.
- 3 years of stated experience must include: systems engineering for aerospace products; writing qualification test procedures; writing qualification test reports; using requirement management database tools such as IBM doors.
- In lieu of a Bachelor's degree and 5 years of experience as stated, the company will accept 7 years of experience as stated.
