Job Description

The HSE Specialist is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing comprehensive safety and health programs to ensure a safe and healthy working environment for all employees. This role will work closely with management and staff to identify, evaluate, and control workplace hazards, and promote a culture of safety and health awareness.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Develop, implement, and manage health, safety, and environmental (HSE) programs.
• Conduct regular workplace inspections and safety audits to identify and assess potential hazards.
• Implement corrective actions for identified hazards.
• Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root causes and prevent recurrence.
• Train employees on health, safety, and environmental procedures and regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of all safety training and inspections.
• Prepare and submit required regulatory reports.
• Conduct emergency response drills.
• Promote a culture of safety and compliance with all applicable regulations.

Scopes and Accountabilities:
• Responsible for the overall safety and health of all employees.
• Accountable for ensuring compliance with all applicable health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Responsible for developing and maintaining emergency response plans.

Job Requirements

Required Competencies; Education / Knowledge / Skills and Abilities:
• Bachelor's degree in safety, health, or environmental science.
• 5+ years of experience in health, safety, and environmental management.
• 3+ years of experience in Aviation, Manufacturing or Construction setting
• Strong knowledge of OSHA & EPA regulations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical Requirements:
• Ability to stand, walk, sit, and stoop for extended periods of time.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to use a computer for extended periods of time.
• Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE).
Ability to work in a variety of environments, including construction sites and industrial facilities.
