Job Description
The Supply Chain Expeditor is responsible for supporting Supply Chain/Purchasing and Operations to follow-up and facilitate movement of critical components to the production system. Position requires performing tasks such as finding the status of individual parts internally or at a supplier location, expediting them through the system for use immediate production. Communicate directly with suppliers and internal customers. This position reports to the Supply Chain Manager.
Complementary Description
•Work closely with Buyers to manage supplier on time delivery and product support
•Monitor the receipt of materials from suppliers and obtain tracking to ensure on-time delivery
•Escalate, status and resolve for past due or discrepant parts
•Work with team focals for emergent components to expedite the processing of materials through the warehouse and to the shop floor
•Assist part movement and reconciliation to support schedule recovery and part(s) repair or rework (grief/MRB parts)
•Perform other inventory management responsibilities as assigned
•Manage all requests needed to support critical items through Receiving
•Proactively maintain current supplier profile status
•Communicate with Production Control to assist in the management of Manufacturing Orders that have been released to the Production Floor
•Coordinate with Buyer and Quality to resolve non-conforming part issues
•Regularly communicate part status information to Operations
•Coordinate with all applicable parties to properly quarantine and document non-conforming and/or rejected product.
•Work with Buyers on non-inventory and calibration items.
Job Requirements
Education:
High School Graduate or GED
Experience:
•3+ years' warehouse experience or other relevant experience
•Work experience in a customer service or supplier management role
Other Skills:
•Advanced MRP/ERP knowledge
•Strong organizational and time management skills
•Ability to work independently and efficiently
•Excellent customer service
•Self-motivated
•Knowledge of inventory and lean principles
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills
•Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office required
•1+ years aerospace experience
•Ability to work a flexible schedule, including overtime, as required to meet business needs
