Job Description
Job Duties: Manage new development projects for A350 program. Manage planning, implementation and tracking of engineering projects for the development of new products. Accountable for schedule, budget, risk management, lessons learned and customer communication. Lead and support large development projects with internal and external subcontractors internationally. Coordinate the project team to ensure performance objectives. Responsible for definition and implementation of development plan and project execution according to Project Management Plan (PMP). Establish and track detailed master schedule and schedule development work to meet milestones. Oversee and lead project team. Lead regular tactical meetings internally and with customers. Drive decision between project teams and management when required. Ensure all work packages/tasks are established and linked in line with targets/ milestones. Ensure all activities are initiated on time, drive decisions on production site, and ensure planning is forecasted in MPS. Ensure concurrent engineering is followed between all IPT. Support Supply Chain IPT ensuring supplier project management plan, deliverables, and schedule is in line with project objectives and ensure internal deliverables to suppliers/ partners are met. Reviews and authorizes expenses against the budget. Manage PEGA (Purchase Order requests) and CSO (Customer sponsored orders).
Requirements: The position requires a bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, design engineering, industrial engineering, manufacturing engineering, engineering or related technical field and four (4) years of experience in the job offered or leading aircraft cabin interior development or aircraft system design within the aviation and/or aerospace industries. Stated experience must include: planning or managing projects; defining and organizing projects using project management process methodology and tools including project management plans, work package definition, or earned value management; formalizing the Product Breakdown Structure (PBS)/ Work Breakdown Structure (WBS)/ Organization Breakdown Structure (OBS), drafting and managing via a project management plan (PMP); Earn Value Management including planning, budgeting, critical path, margins and S-Curves; workload control in view of progress/variances – nonrecurring engineering control; and experience in cost parameters including experience with cost control and design to cost. Must be willing to travel up to 15% domestically and internationally.
Compensation includes a base salary of $128,000 per year to $137,000 per year. The salary rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as selected candidate's experience.
