Job Description

This position is responsible for overall supervision of a manufacturing cell, focused factory, or work-center in achieving production schedule, product quality, product cost, employee productivity, and employee safety goals. Coordinates with all functional and service groups to meet customer requirements. Drives performance to achieve or exceed financial plans and strategic goals. Leverages resources and motivates personnel to create high performance culture. Is an active member of the Operations team and works closely with other departments to achieve the goals.

Complementary Description

A. Supervises all direct reports within a given work-center to ensure completion of customer requirements.
B. Assesses performance indicators, and takes appropriate actions to ensure schedule, cost and quality goals are met
C. Ensures required documentation and/or system transactions are executed to meet customer, materials resource planning system, and financial reporting are met
D. Assures policies, procedures, and other documentation are followed to ensure consistency and compliance with Company's policies and procedures
E. Provides leadership and commitment in support of continuing improvements in quality, productivity, and delivery performance
F. Supports product design organization through new product introduction phase to ensure customer due dates are met
G. Assures that Environment, Health, and Safety issues are addressed considering local regulations, company policies, and good corporate citizenship
H. Evaluates operational performance of the group in order to facilitate performance management, merit promotions, job transfers, dismissals, commendations, training, disciplinary action, etc.
I. Specifies job assignments for direct reports, and monitors performance to achieve product delivery and cost requirements
J. Coordinates and assists with process improvement initiatives, participating and leading teams in order to drive best practices across the organization

Job Requirements

1. Knowledge of materials planning systems (MRP/ERP) requirements and order generation process logic
2. Strong understanding of Supply Chain Management operational concepts surrounding production planning, inventory control, purchasing, stockroom operations, and shipping/receiving
3. Knowledge and ability to implement Lean Manufacturing and Processes, Variation Reduction (Six Sigma) concepts, and tool sets as they relate to manufacturing management
4. Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks and take initiative
5. Strong ability to direct and lead cross-functional process improvement teams
6. Ability to operate PC with intermediate to advanced skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word) or similar software packages
7. Strong oral, written communication and analytical skills to gather, organize, interpret and present complex data
8. Strong presentation skills
9. Green Belt certification preferred or ability to get certified
10. Participate and lead QRQC, APU, and Line boards
11. Ability to lead a Green Belt and OneSafran project
12. Strong knowledge and implementation of time management and organizational tools
13. Transacting of non-conforming parts into the MRB system
14. Place orders for tooling and factory supplies while managing the budget

Additional Information:

1. Education and Experience: Bachelor's Degree from a recognized institution and a minimum of three 6 years professional experience in a supervisory role or 5 8 years of working experience in manufacturing environment and equivalent professional knowledge. Aerospace experience preferred required

a. Ability to lift about 25 pounds
b. Ability to walk throughout the facility
c. Ability to stand for extended periods of time
