Job Description

There are several internship positions available in Safran Cabin - Water & Waste Systems Engineering team. Assigned projects will develop the successful candidates both technically and professionally. A technical mentor and supervisor will be assigned to each intern to ensure an engaging and productive assignment.

This internship position will support our Systems Engineering group and focus on creating a knowledge directory of the water & waste system architectures across all major commercial aircraft/platforms. In addition to the basic architecture, the directory will include description of the system operation and functional principles. The project affords the candidate direct practical application of system engineering principles in a real world aerospace industry environment. The candidate will learn about systems requirements management, mechanical, electrical, communication and physics phenomena, aircraft profiles and operating conditions, and the general aerospace development processes. A successful outcome of this internship will be a well rounded understanding of the basics of water and waste systems for commercial aerospace applications and identified optimizations of system architectures for a more sustainable aviation industry.

Job Requirements

Required Qualifications:
• Currently enrolled in an ABET accredited Bachelor's degree program
with an anticipated graduation date on or after May
2022 or recent graduate.
• Minimum of 60 earned credit hours at commencement
of internship
Preferred Qualifications:
• Passion for the aerospace industry
• Academic excellence (GPA of 3.0 or higher)
